Council has just added our support to the Keep Me Posted campaign which promotes the rights of every Australian to have the choice to receive information or bills in a paper format, free of charge from service companies. This campaign raises public awareness of the move by large companies to charge people for choosing to receive hard copy bills instead of electronic ones. Our communities should not be financially penalised or disadvantaged if they choose to receive hard copies of their bills. Devonport City Council provides hard copies of rate notices and the opportunity to opt for an electronic copy at no cost. Council is pleased to pledge its support to this campaign.
