The Advocate: East Devonport man calls for no extra charges
An East Devonport resident says not everybody wants to be forced to alter their ways and some may not be able to afford to.
80-year-old pensioner Lloyd Fitzmaurice has been paying his bills at the post office for years after he receives them in the mail and does not want to change that method now.
“I think it is ironic to get a bill then have to pay for it, that is my number one. I get 12 bank statements a year, 12 telephone bills a year and that is 24 for a start without water and rates etc.” Mr Fitzmaurice said.
